01 The Problem

In rushed appointments filled with medical jargon, patients leave confused about their health—and too often, care ends when the visit does.

Medical Jargon

Patients often leave appointments confused about their health due to complex medical terminology.

Lack of Follow-Up

When patients leave appointments without a clear understanding of their health, they often don't know what to do next.

Time Constraints

In today's healthcare system, patients are often seen as a quota to fill, leading to rushed appointments.

02 Solution

AI-Powered Medical Briefs

Keeping users informed about their health through a simple conversational interface that turns complexity into clarity.

Allows users to not only chat with an AI, but upload their medical records to get a personalized medical brief in natural language and with visuals.

How can we design a mobile app that is intuitive and easy to use for patients to gain medical clarity?

03 UX Research

With my team of 3 product designers, we conducted a series of tasks to ensure we were designing the right product for our users.

My role focused on leading our team through activities such as user personas, user flows, and component audits.

Created user personas to understand the needs and pain points of our users.

How do we turn our planning and research into actionable design goals and decisions?

04 Collaborative Design

To ensure we were consistently making progress and supporting the users' needs, we structured our design process to be collaborative and iterative.

My role focused on delegating tasks to my teammates and ensuring we were making progress towards our design goals, as well as designing a user flow.

Created a design system to ensure consistency across the app and our individual designs.

Led a team alignment session to establish goals and communication styles.

What are the most effective ways to receive feedback and intentionally iterate on our designs?

05 Iteration & Feedback

My team and I had the opportunity to present our work to a panel of professional designers, who provided valuable feedback and insights that I was able to take after the project was over to improve my designs.

My role focused on presenting the design with my team to the panelists, as well as revising the design based on feedback from the panel.

Created a pitch deck to present our work to the panelists.
